Monochrome | OOTD
We’re gonna throw it back to a look I LOVED and had a blast doing my own mini photoshoot in my college apartment room using my tripod when I first started blogging.
I KNOW I’m not the only one who does this… we just might not all have a tripod and use soft box lighting like I did, but don’t deny when you’re feeling yourself, y’all don’t go selfie crazy to look back at a day where you felt great, haha.
This look was made possible by Le Tote.
(This post contains affiliate links, which at no additional cost to you [in fact, y’all SAVE money using my links ;)] I will make a small commission. See full disclosure here.)
First, let’s chat about Le Tote a little bit so you can understand how it all works.
When you first sign up, you should totally use my link either above or this one, which will get you a FREE tote. They’re also doing a Memorial Day sale in which you can get $25 off your first two months! Use this link and enter the code “MEMORIALDAY”. Hurry up tho- this offer ends May 28! Otherwise, the classic plan is $49 per month.
You fill out a style profile so the stylists can get a better idea of the styles you’ll truly enjoy.
Then, you will receive a box of various clothing items and accessories to wear for as long or as little as you’d like. This subscription service gives you an opportunity to switch up your wardrobe and try brands you may not have heard of before. I honestly was so about having new outfits to wear for different occasions, like this everyday basic look. Gives ya a chance to shake things up a lil.
I know, y’all are probably like YA NASTY wearing things other people have worn before, but don’t worry, they 100% wash the items. I have never received a clothing item that looked less than pristine.
Should you like any of the items, you simply just keep it and Le Tote will charge the card you have for payment and boom, it’s yours. Send back any items you don’t like, and they’ll send you more clothing to try.
Shipping is FREE.
I am definitely one of those people now who either wears really pastel looks or black with little room for anything in between. This look clearly channels the darker route.
To lessen the intensity of this look, you can opt for a more minimalist makeup look. Simple winged liner would look amazing, especially if paired with a red lip (not that y’all need makeup to look amazing, I just love bringing out the possibilities of an outfit with makeup looks).
Shirt: French Connection Crop Stripe Sweater
Retails for $98, Le Tote price $58
I’ll be the first to admit, some of these prices can be a lil boujie, but many of these items are better quality than your typical Forever 21-esque clothing and you’re saving some coin by buying them through Le Tote.
Leggings: Matty M Zonia Zippered Legging
Retails for $78, Le Tote price $58
Super comfortable and form fitting. Ya know I love me some pants that make my booty look good.
Tell me, how would you style this outfit?
